a FOUR WAY STOP CAN BE IDENTIFIED BY WHITE RETRO REFLECTIVE WITH A RED RETRO FRELCTIVE BACKGROUND WHITH A BACK SIGN OF WHITE SEMI MATT. THIS SIGN INDCATES THAT THE DRIVER APPROACHING A FOUR WAY STOP SIGN THAT THEY SHOULD ACT AS FOR STOP SIGN AND THEY SHALL NOT PROCEED INTO THE JUNCTION UNTIL EVERY VEHICLE WHICH HAS STOPPED AT ANY OTHER STOP LINE AT SUCH A JUNCTION BEFORE THEM , AND WICH WOULD , IN THE NORMAL COURSE OF EENTS , CROSS PATHS OF THE DRIVERS VEHICLE, HAS CLEARED THE JUNCTION

CONTROL SIGNS

YIELD SIGN. THE OUTER BORDER HAS WHITE RETRO REFLECTIVE AND THE INNER BORDER HAS A RED RETRO REFLECTIVE , IT HAS BLACK SEMI MATT ARROWS AND A WHITE RETRO REFLECTIVE BACKGROUND. IT INDICATES TO THE DRIER OF A VEHICLE APPROCHING A MINI CYCLE THAT HE OR SHE SHALL YIELD RIGHT OF WAY TO ANY VEHICLE WHICH WILL CROSS ANY YIELD LINE AT SUCH JUNCTION BEFORE HIM OR HER AND WHICH, IN THE NORMAL COURSE OF EVENTS, WILL CROSS THE PATH OF SUCH DRIVERS VEHICLE AAND THAT TTHE DRIVER SHALL MOVE IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION

RESERVATION SIGNS

This signs are part of the regulated signs, usually rectangular shaped with blue background with a P or R inside meaning p-parking or r- reserved and a symbol inside showing the special group/ class the reserved space is for.

SELECTIVE RESTRICTION SIGNS(Exclusive secondary signs)

Usually these signs work with another regulatory sign above and it shows that the regulatory sign is for a specific traffic for example on the sign above it means the regualotory sign put together with sign is for dangerous goods only

DE-RESTRICTION SIGNS

This the last section or class of regulatory signs, usually are noticed by a cancellation cross. it means the previously regulatory sign has been cancelled. Since you have been regulated before it should reach a distance where you are supposed to be free of the previous regulatory sign

Road layout are warning signs that warns of a danger posed by meeting roads,junctions or intersections. Warning signs do not have regulatory effect but might be considered when an accident happens

direction of movement signs

Direction of movement are signs that warns or tell you of road movement for example the road sign ahead is a road windering sign meaning series of curves ahead

Symbolic signs

These are warning signs with symbols to represent certain objects, animals or traffic etc

Hazard markers

Hazard markers unlike most of warning signs which gives advance warning , hazards markers are usually where the hazard or danger is

Guidance signs shall be classified as (i)location,(ii)route markers,(iii)direction signs,(iv)freeway direction signs(v)tourism direction(vi) local direction (vii)diagrammatic (viii)pedestrian signs, informative signs and (viiii)toll signs

(i)location signs

location signs tells you areas that you are in

(ii)route markers

route markers gives routes to use to get to other roads or routes you to the way that leads you to the road of your intended location

direction signs

these are the signs that gives direction to locations

freeway direction sign

these are signs that shows direction to freeway

tourism direction signs

these are signs that shows direction to tourism resorts

local direction signs

these are signs that shows direction to local locations

diagrammatic signs

these are the signs that shows the diagram of the road,its shows the movement of lanes

pedestrian signs

these are signs that are made for pedestrians only

information signs

these are signs that give information to the driver especially a new driver in the area

These are the markings that we see on the road , we have regulatory markings, warning markings and guidance markings

(I)regulatory markings

regulatory will be classified as (a)transverse regulatory markings and (b)longitudinal regulatory markings

transverse regulatory markings : these are road crossing regulatory markings

longitudinal regulatory markings: these are markings that regulates the roads from the sides

(ii)warning markings

these are the markings that warns of mostly of regulatory markings

(iii) guidance markings

these are the markings that gives information and guidance to the driver

CLASS (III) ROAD SIGNALS

Road signals are classified as follows (A) TRAFFIC SIGNALS (vehicular signals and pedestrians and pedal cyclist signals) (B) RED FLASHING SIGNALS (C) OVERHEAD LANE DIRECTION CONTROL SIGNALS AND (D) HAND AND FLAG SIGNALS

these are the signs that give signal to vehicles

a)vehicular light signals

b)pedestrian and pedal cyclist light signals: these are the signs that give signals to pedal cyclist and pedestrians. whre ther is no pedestrians signals pedestrians shall comply with the vehicular signals

red flashing signals

indicates to the driver that he shall stop and shall not proceed until it is safe to do so

overhead lane direction control signals

these are signals lights for lanes

traffic signal and flag signals

these are usually signs given by a person infront of the driver

warning signals

these are warning flashing lights signal and warning flag signals.

flashing light signal: yellow flashing lights signals warns the driver of a particular hazard or traffic control device

flag signal: warns a road userto proceed slowly and be alert
